A Date With Gregory Alan Isakov | Photo Essay

Sunday night Red Rocks played perfect host to one of our favorite singer songwriters. Gregory Alan Isakov and friends aptly named the "Ghost Orchestra" managed to put on one of the better shows at the iconic venue. Riding the tails of his album with The Colorado Symphony he managed to play a wide range of songs from previous works as well. He had full control of the crowd from the beginning whereas you could hear a pin drop in the massive venue. Only a hand full of artist can leave the crowd mesmerized in such a way. If you missed the show, it was one of those "wish i was there" moments. Not to worry we feel Isakov has a few more like this up his sleeve. The night began with worthy performances from Shook Twins and the always brilliant Ani DiFranco.
