Our least favorite band in the world In The Whale have graciously released the follow-up EP for "Eric" with the appropriately named "Nate". The band will be busy in the next month or two playing a handful of shows (see below). If you haven't purchased your tickets to their upcoming two night residency at Hi-Dive with Austinites Residual Kid now is your chance, the show is set to sell out any day now!
The "Nate" EP is a straight dose of blues infused rock and roll goodness. I'm not a smoker but it makes you want to grab a pack of cigs along with the whiskey that grandpa keeps hidden and just wail out in nothing but your underwear. The 4 song EP is full of gritty guitar play and tight drumming that will make you sing along to each song. If you have ever attended an In The Whale show it is something they highly recommend. If you want to have the bejesus scared out of you crank up "Grandpa Pete" all the way up to 11 and pray that you will be able to sleep at night. All in all the EP is a well produced ditty with infectious tones and well balanced attack of rock.
