First Look: David Burchfield & The Fire Guild "State To State"

We have the first look at the new video from David Burchfield & The Fire Guild. The video is called "State to State", the catchy number will make you want to grab your partner and dance the night away. The song conjours up a plethora of genres including americana, folk, with a hint of country. You can see David Burchfield & The Fire Guild this weekend at the Underground Music Festival. The band will be closing out the Banded Oak Brewing stage from 11 pm to midnight.

First Look: Deezie Brown "Drive" Video Premiere

Based out of Austin, Texas, Deezie Brown delivers a very edgy, dark, and rebellious depiction of Alternative Hip-Hop and Electronic Pop. Deezie Brown was exposed to hip-hop at an early age while he rode around with his dad listening to some of the great artists of the South such as OutKast and UGK. Fresh off the heels of his recently released album Judith, Brown delivers a unique sound that is evident in the video above.

Deezie Brown presents his video for the single "Drive". The Texas native is set to bring the heat this upcoming weekend to The Underground Music Showcase here in Denver. He will playing on Saturday at 8:00 PM at The Blue Ice Lounge.

World Premiere: Viretta - "This Garden's Over (A)"

Following years of writing and recording, Viretta’s upcoming 12-track album The Fear is now less than a month away from release. And lucky us! The record release will coincide with the band’s recently announced support slot for British arena-rockers The Struts at The Ogden Theater on May 18th! Now, with a killer new album and a killer new show lined up, Viretta is making good on their promise with the 2nd of 3 previously announced music videos from The Fear: punchy rock track, “This Garden’s Over (A)”.

If the video for last month’s barn burner “Cordyceps” gave a taste of Viretta’s dark side, the new video for “This Garden’s Over (A)” does exactly the opposite. Coming late on the record at Track 7, “Garden” finds the band in a much happier place. Though laced throughout with punchy hits and a BIG chorus, the song bounces along with a lightness that feels laid-back and fun.

Filmed last summer by guitarist Rob Moroni who, “had literally zero experience filming anything,” the video documents his and frontman Mike Moroni’s first trip to Nashville, where they meet up with fellow Denver songwriters Mason Maxwell (P O P F I L T E R) and Chase Martinez (REDLANDS). The boys visit Nashville’s Third Man Records, grill burgers, eat tacos, and dance the night away with friends. Rob was initially unsure of whether any of the footage would be usable, but with only the simplest of directions—“You guys, dance!”—the finished video is full of great, spontaneous moments. At one point Rob and Mason even convince a trio of ice cream servers to start a karate fight in the middle of their shift!

Overall, “This Garden’s Over (A)” is a love letter to long distance friends, the pleasures of barbeque, and good company. But for Viretta, it’s another exciting chapter from their new album, The Fear. Pre-Order The Fear and stream new tracks from the album below!

The Velveteers have blessed us with their new psychedelic video for "The Love Lasted". Fresh off their set at this years Westwood Music Showcase, the band has a few dates coming up including an opening slot for Flaural at The Fox Theatre on June 29th. We have loved seeing this band grow right in front of our eyes and cannot be more proud of the direction the band is headed. Enjoy the video.

Denver Are You Looking For This Year's Summer Anthem? Look No Further

Since the beginning of time there has always been that Summer Jam we constatly blast in our cars, shower, home, club, you name it. There have been some classics over the years. Our all time favorite would probably be DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince's "Summertime" ironically named. Other classics would be "California Love" from Dr. Dre and Tupac, The Beach Boys "Good Vibrations" (basically anything by The Beach Boys) our Managing Editor Mcclain's fave "Summer Girls" by LFO. Castro's favorite "Summer Love" by Justin Timberlake also makes our list.

This year as we prepare to fire up that grill (it sparks up nostalgia) and break out the Mike's Hard Lemonade, we have begun to search for this years winner. Early favorite would be DJ Khaled's new "I'm The One" featuring Justin Bieber (i know), Quavo, Chance The Rapper and Lil Wayne.

That was until we ran into this gem by local boys OptycNerd called "Uncool". The video is catchy with incredible visuals, pretty ladies and cotton candy. The perfect ingredients for what we will already dub the Summer Anthem of 2017, sorry Biebs! Denver take notice this one is sitting right in our backyard! Stay Woke!

Exclusive Music Video Premiere | One Flew West "Come Together"

Local up-and-comers One Flew West bring fans into the studio with them to pay homage to the greats in their brand new music video, exclusively debuting with Ultra5280. Shot during a recording session at The Keep in Denver, this footage gives fans an intimate way to experience the band’s rendition of The Beatles classic, “Come Together”. Engineered, mixed, and mastered by Jeff Kanan, this track captures the raw energy that fans love from One Flew West’s robust live performances. Vocals from frontman Linden Jackson lead the listener with power and intent, while tightly focused shots from videographer Lucas Flores guides viewers through various perspectives of the session. Certainly a refreshing take on your typical “in the studio” release, this video is the third in a string of One Flew West’s one-of-a-kind music videos. While staying true to the tune’s form, the addition of harmonies and trumpet brings refreshing style to the classic.

We’re unsure when we’ll hear more from the group’s recent studio time, but you can satiate your One Flew West fix at their upcoming show at the Fox Theatre in Boulder this Saturday, July 16th (supporting acts: Longest Day of the Year and Whiskey Autumn). Tickets are still available for now, but don’t miss out on a fun night full of local music. Tickets: http://foxtheatre.com
