As we began the daunting task of RSVP'ing to all the events taking place here in Austin for SXSW we began to notice that this year Colorado is taking over a few showcases. Check out below for all the related events brought to you by some of the hardest working industry folks from our state.
Ultra5280 Artist of The Week: Inner Oceans
Monday's are usually filled with us looking through hundreds of emails and scouring the inter-webs for new music. This gem just happened to fall into our laps today, Denver based Inner Oceans have just signed to Holy Underground Management and soon will be a household name amongst the thriving Denver music scene. You can also download their 3 song EP at Bandcamp.
Fronted by Griff Snyder (previously of Dovekins) and supported by a veteran cast of Denver multi-instrumentalists, this pop group has immediately displayed a knack for their forward-thinking pop songwriting that’s been catching the ears of the international blog community right off the bat.
Their first 3 song EP is available for free download through Bandcamp, and does well to showcase the depth of a project that at times blurs the lines between dream pop and shoegaze. Genre’s aside, we know you’ll enjoy.

Bring It To The Borough | A Fundraiser for Breezy Point Disaster Relief Fund
We are proud to be a sponsor of this awesome event taking place next Friday, November 30th. Please pass along this information and be sure to share across all of your social media outlets. It's for a great cause!
About Breezy Point:
Breezy Point is a small, middle-class town that lost more than 100 homes due to Hurricane Sandy. Their current struggle is getting insurance to cover their loss, as many families did not have insurance, or cannot get adequate flood/fire/hurricane coverage. The town is part of the Queens borough and is still without gas and water. Breezy Point Disaster Relief Fund was started by Matthew Petronis, a college student from Breezy Point. Matthew's mission is to restore Breezy Point so future generations can enjoy the same childhood he had growing up in the special town. Although he is new to fundraising, Matthew has been able to raise over $70,000 thus far. Breezy Point Disaster Relief Fund has already been interviewed by Forbes and 60 Minutes, and is gaining more and more visibility each day.
Our goal is to support Matthew's efforts to raise $500,000 to go towards the restoration of Breezy Point, so that future generations can enjoy the same culture and traditions he did growing up.
