Our favorite rock band is headed to Europe. Local rock band The Velveteers announce UK tour in October of 2018. The Denver locals led by siblings Demi Demitro and John Demitro are thrilled to be crossing the pond for the second time, this time on a headlining tour playing clubs across the UK. In 2016, the band was a support act for Los Angeles duo Deap Vally, playing to sold out UK theaters on their very first tour. The Velveteers released their first 6-song EP back in February of 2018 and are now excited to announce they are releasing the EP to vinyl. To celebrate the bands departure and vinyl release, The Velveteers will be holding two local kickoff shows. October 5th at Hodi's Half Note in Fort Collins and October 6th at Larimer Lounge in Denver.

The Velveteers Announce Self-Titled Debut EP Out February 7th.

Denver band, The Velveteers led by 20 year old Demi Demitro and her brother John are thrilled to announce their Debut self-titled EP coming out on February 7th, 2018. The Velveteers EP is its own definition of dark-moody rock'n roll, fuzzed out with Demi's signature heavy guitar tones and monstrous riffs, accompanied by strong yet haunting vocals, all while John keeps rhythm with his distinctive drumming style. Each song on the album is a stand alone piece. The EP is overflowing with hooks branding each song a uniqueness that cannot be denied. Many of the songs written on the album were inspired by Demi's love for Brother Grimm Fairytales. Demi wrote the album in a cemetery while visiting not only the graves of her beloved, but the graves of her enemies, writing underneath the summer moonlight. The best way to describe this EP is if Led Zeppelin and The Cramps had a love child...

The Debut EP was recorded at Silo Sounds in Denver, Colorado with our good friend Todd Divel, who engineered, mixed and mastered the record. The EP features 6 songs, recorded all to analog tape. We are excited to release it not only digitally but also on vinyl. The vinyl will be pressed by Third Man Pressing (Jack White's pressing plant) in Detroit, Michigan. The record was produced by Demi Demitro.

The Velveteers formed in 2015, the brainchild of a then seventeen-year old Demi Demitro. She started playing guitar back in 2014 had been writing songs her whole life, and eventually her brother ended up drumming with her which lead to an unexpected chemistry that now makes up The Velveteers. With no music released, in fall of 2016 The Velveteers embarked on their first tour which lead them to the UK supporting Los Angeles duo Deap Vally. Soon after The Velveteers began recording their first EP and spent 2017 touring the USA, playing local music festivals, and opening for well known acts. The Velveteers plan to spend 2018 touring on their first record. Come celebrate the release of our first record with us at the Hi-Dive on 2/9!

The Velveteers- This Love Lasted | Video

The Velveteers have blessed us with their new psychedelic video for "The Love Lasted". Fresh off their set at this years Westwood Music Showcase, the band has a few dates coming up including an opening slot for Flaural at The Fox Theatre on June 29th. We have loved seeing this band grow right in front of our eyes and cannot be more proud of the direction the band is headed. Enjoy the video.

New Music from The Velveteers Check Out The Video For "Death Hex"

We have a tasty gem for you on this fine Monday afternoon courtesy of The Velveteers. They have just released the video for "Death Hex" and it's pretty amazing. Easily climbing the ranks in the Colorado music scene led by Demi Demitro's penchant for no holds barred rock and roll. Much like Alison Moshart of The Kills, Demitro's voice is raw, grungy, and embodies something unique. The band is set to travel over the pond for a few dates opening for Deap Vally (see dates below).
