The dust has settled from the 2024 iteration of The Kilby Block Party, bringing together music lovers from all over to enjoy a day filled with live performances, food trucks, and local vendors. This year's lineup featured a mix of up-and-coming artists as well as well-known headliners, catering to a diverse audience. Attendance numbers were announced at about twenty three thousand each day. It never felt packed as the blueprint of the festival was strategically set up to accomodate the masses. This years lineup had headliners Vampire Weekend, Death Cab For Cutie/Postal Service, and LCD Sounsystem closeout each night. Daily lineups had buzz worthy perfromances from 100 GEGS, Interpol, Santigold, Beach Fossils, CSS, Dayglow, and more.

Attendees were treated to a variety of music genres, from indie rock to electronic dance music, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy. The stages were strategically set up to minimize sound bleed, allowing fans to fully immerse themselves in each performance. A few stage layout changes were made this year to compesate for bottle neck traffic to and from stage to stage.

One of the most important things about having a succesful festival is having the right amenities. Food options were plentiful, with a wide array of food trucks offering everything from gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches to vegan street tacos. Local artisans and vendors lined the streets, selling unique handcrafted goods and showcasing the vibrant creativity of the community. One of the things we loved was the plethora of food and drink options across the fest. Can we nominate the corn dog as the official food staple of this fest?

Overall, the 2024 Kilby Block Party was a huge success, bringing together people of all backgrounds to celebrate music, art, and culture in a fun and inclusive environment. We look forward to next year's event and what it has in store for us. A hidden gem amongst the ever growing music festival scene, Kilby Block Party continues to grow and maintain relevance and rival the biggest festivals in the world.
