We hope everybody’s quarantine is going good. This just landed in our inbox and it is a perfect way to kick off the weekend! It is Friday right? One of our favorite bands is at it again with this banger remixed by some of Denver’s finest.

OptycNerd’s Chris and Chris were looking to put a fresh, new spin on their most recent album, Never Come Down. So they reached out to some of their favorite Denver artists, and the end result was Never Come Down Remixed - now available on all streaming platforms.

The 5-song EP features remixes by RetrofetteWhiskey Autumn, Levi Double U, Mport, and Slex Allen (one half of OptycNerd). Each artist/group brings their own unique production style to the compilation, which gives the EP an exciting ebb and flow - one that explores the wide possibilities of electronic music.

Each artist shines in their own way. Retrofette brings their signature synth pop vibe on “L.M.B.Y.R.” with seamlessly sequenced synths. Slex Allen throws down some bouncy and melodic house on his flip of “Do It Again”. Levi Double U shows us that groove and rhythm is king in his nudisco version of “Don’t Call.” Mport comes through with a dark, bass heavy, glitchy version of “Naked | Hush.” And Whiskey Autumn wraps up the EP with a soothing, soaring dream pop flip of Optyc’s “Flying.”

Never Come Down Remixed is, no doubt, a unique representation of some of Denver’s finest electronic producers. Definitely worth a listen.
