This past Saturday night was a celebration for two bands who both released CD's. On one end of town at Summit Music Hall we had The Epilogues who released their awesome album Cinematics (read our review here). And down South Broadway at The Gothic we had Bop Skizzum release their album Coloradical. We were fortunate to attend the Bop Skizzum show which turned into an all dance party, with support from a few local bands. It was a night for Denver to celebrate local music at its finest. Bop Skizzum CD Release | The Gothic Theatre | October 6th
It's Coloradical week here at Ultra5280 and we are excited to be joining Denver's own Bop Skizzum this Saturday for their CD release. To top it off they are bringing some special friends to come celebrate with them including Rachel and The Kings, Rebel Tongue, In The Whale, and Dakar. You can purchase advance tickets by clicking on the link to the right. For those of you unfamiliar with Bop Skizzum, it is the culmination of a group who manages to infuse funk, hip-hop, pop-rock with a twist on indie. With each member bringing a unique element to the table, they manage to embody unparalled passion for a unique sound not heard anywhere else. Each member is talented and trained in their own regard, Bop Skizzum provides us with a sound that just wants to make us get up and dance. Be sure you come out and support local music this Saturday at The Gothic for a night filled with some of Denver's best. Check out the video below from Andy "Rok" Guerrero, for a taste of what the album Coloradical has in store for us.
