Denver Music Spotlight: Who Is Miggy Camacho?

Hailing from the City of Angels, Miggy Camacho has been one of the Denver music scenes true ambassadors to live music. Just Miggy as he is known by has been at the forefront of blessing us with some of the finest R&B, Hip Hop, Soul, Funk and Motown music our city has to offer. From rocking the decks to promoting one of the best nightly parties at Goosetown Tavern on a weekly basis, Miggy is the heart and soul of a scene that truly caters to those who appreciate the throwback sound of yesteryear. His events always spark up nostalgia (Sorry Fresh Prince, we had to) with some classics and rare unreleased joints that people often find themselves scratching their heads when played. Truly a music ambassador in our ever growing music scene. If you are ever in the Bluebird District drop by Goosetown Tavern for a drink or two and enjoy some good quality grown folks music, tell him we sent you!

Music | Shredded Beast Music Festival: Artist Spotlight Sam Lachow

Sam Lachow is a producer, songwriter, rapper, videoapher, director, and editor of video and music. Raised in both Seattle and New York City he's been making videos since elementary school, and as a seven-grar began a group called Shankbone. Sam began directing and producing music videos with Shankbone, and went on to create videos for various other artists.

In 2011 Sam released his debut album as a solo artist, titled "Brand New Bike". The album was produced entirely by Sam utilizing many live instruments from musicians based in Seattle and New York. The next year Sam released 2 EP's, and produd/dicted dozens of music videos from the projects on his YouTube channel, which now has over 4 million views.

After spending the majority of 2013 touring, Sam put out 2 projects in 2014. In August he released his second full length album Hucklerry, then followed up with the 80 Bars EP in November. Both projects are available at samlaow.c.

Music | Shredded Beats Street Festival: Artist Spotlight Goldlink

With the Shredded Beats Street Festival only a few weeks away we wanted to introduce some of the artist playing this years fest. For of those of you unfamiliar with Goldlink, he recently played a Red Bull Sound Select  performance here in Denver a few months ago. Today he is gracing the cover of XXL as part of their "2015 XXL Freshman Class". GoldLink made it off the strength of his amazing debut mixtape God Complex, which drew the attention of Rick Rubin and garnered critical acclaim. You can check him out live starting next week on his first headlining tour (dates and mixtape below). The mixtape is a musical journey that has hints of soul mixed with house. He brings the music alive with carefully orchestrated lyrics that attract the listener and delivers a unique growing element of sound. So-Gnar has teamed up with some of the best local and national talent to present the first annual Shredded Beats Summer Festival to be hosted at The Bluebird, Park House, Southside Bar, Goosetown Tavern & Lost Lake Saloon on June 26th and 27th. This 2-night festival will bring together talent from the hip-hop, EDM and rock worlds with a So-Gnar flair. Our objective is to bring together cultures in the thriving East Colfax neighborhood and have two nights of fun worth talking about. 

So-Gnar is building off the success of our past Shredded Beats concert series and turning the event into a 2-day street festival in the heart of Denver. Five venues will host national talent over the course of two nights for one low price. Our goal is to encourage community engagement, bring business to this amazing part of Denver and have a great time listening to music, watching live art and having fun!
