Music | Mysteryland Electronic Music Culture & Arts Festival | May 22-25 | Woodstock Grounds

It is safe to say that we are seasoned veteran music festival pros by now. We are always up for festival season and Mysteryland will be our initial voyage to the hallowed Woodstock' 69 Grounds. With a who's who of artist playing the four day weekend, it will sure make for some awesome memories and stories to share. Best sure to follow us that weekend as we give you up to the minute highlights from this incredible fest.

With a name like Mysteryland, you can never really know what to expect. From its first debut in Lelystad, Netherlands in 1993, to now Chile and America, it is the longest running music festival around. Mysteryland USA will be held in Bethel Woods, New York, on the grounds of the original Woodstock over Memorial Day weekend.

Mysteryland is so much more than a music festival. It has become a community of like minded people who are on a journey to find something greater within themselves. The integration of music, art, and community makes Mysteryland a one of a kind place. Camping with strangers, dining with nomads, and taking breather at the Healing Gardens are a few ways to disconnect from the grid and live in the moment.

Mysteryland has a stellar line up with some amazing curators. From the private stage for Friday's campers, fondly referred to as Nomads, to incredible closers, to the killer closers. Upcoming artist such as A-Track, GTA, Josh Wink, Maceo Plex, Richie Hawtin, and Tropkillaz, on to power houses like Porter Robinson, Diplo, Beats Antique, Madeon, Dillon Francis, and Bro Safari to name just a few.

We cannot wait to see Mysteryland for ourselves and experience first hand all of its wonders. We are going to be bringing some Colorado jive to different parts of the world at Mysteryland. Stay tuned to make this amazing journey with us!

A-Trak and The Magic 8 Ball Tour Invade Denver (sorry...Englewood)-Review

This past Monday superstar DJ A-Trak and his Magic 8 Ball Tour made a stop in Denver (Englewood to be exact).. As many of you know A-Trak is my favorite DJ in the world as a matter of fact I expressed my admiration in a tweet before his show and asked him what he was gonna bring this night he simply replied "i'm gonna tear shit up"....

Before we get to A-Trak let's talk about opener Gaslamp Killer, this was my first time hearing him spin and I guarantee it won't be my last.  He had the crowd going by playing a mashup-dub-electro-hiphop-rock infused nectar of sound.  He managed to include everything from Easy E to Radiohead in his set.  With a huge emphasis on a Los Angeles sound GLK had the Mile High crowd head bobbin' and dancing during his whole set.

As the curtains unveiled A-Traks new stage set-up it took me back a few weeks to Coachella and made me realize I should have stayed for his whole set.  Having established himself as a bonafide DJ, A-Trak manages to create an all unique sound that separates himself from the competition, wether it's collaborating with Kanye West or simply dropping a Yeah Yeah Yeah's remix, he commands the respect of the crowd from the opening drop of the needle. Leaving the banter for the beginning of the set A-trak rocked the Gothic crowd for almost two hours without a hint of interruption, playing remixes from the likes of Daft Punk's "Robot Rock" to Wiz Khalifa's hip hop anthem "Black and Yellow, A-Trak saved his best for last as he dropped Duck Sauce's (when are we gonna see a tour?) "Barbara Streisand" as you can see in the video below.
