Local fantastics Glowing House are back at it again with a neat project called the B-Side EP's. Each EP is three songs: a polished, studio-quality title track plus two live b-sides, each recorded and filmed at a different location. After the four EP's are completed, they will combine them in whatever way they see fit for a full-length record, including brand new songs as well. Then the group will start the process over again - 4 more EP's, then another compilation, creating a beautiful cycle of continuous new music. We think this is a super amazing idea, and hope you'll help us celebrate their most recent EP, Loud & Clear, a collection of murder ballads, as it's released this weekend on Friday, April 3rd. In their efforts to keep each EP unique in it's own way, the group is releasing this one with an accompanying comic book that tells the story of the title track.
Not only has the group chosen to create their music in an incredibly unique way, but to make things even more special, they've chosen to release Loud & Clear this upcoming Friday night during the First Fridays festivities on South Santa Fe. A free, all-ages show taking place at a gallery located at 753 Santa Fe (that's its name for now), the group thought hosting a show during the city's biggest night of artsy celebration would be a great way to highlight this EP's extra-artistic packaging - we couldn't agree more. The show will be revving up as the galleries of First Friday close up, so be sure to get down there early, enjoy some art, and then head to the gallery for an amazing night celebrating local music.
