Plus announcing supporting National acts, The Knocks, Two Feet and The Wrecks - joining Crooked Colours, lovelytheband and Shaed.

About the Westword Music Showcase:

The Westword Music Showcase returns to the Golden Triangle on Saturday, June 29, 2019! For our 25th Westword Music Showcase, we’re cranking up the volume with national headliners JAUZ, Bishop Briggs, Crooked Colours, lovelytheband, SHAED + more to be announced, as well as more local bands than you can hear in a day, performing at venues throughout the neighborhood.

The Westword Music Showcase, the city’s largest single-day festival celebrating the music scene, will run from noon to 10 p.m. on June 29; tickets are on sale now! In honor of our 25th Westword Music Showcase celebrating local music in the Mile High, we’re selling the first 2,500 general admission tickets for just $25 each! A general admission ticket includes access to all participating venues, both outdoor stages and our merchandise village. The VIP experience includes access to all Showcase venues, a VIP entrance to the outdoor area, special viewing spaces by the two main stages, and a VIP lounge with VIP restrooms (VIP tickets are 21+ only).

Everyone's a lush. Well, mostly just all of us here in Denver. We're the self proclaimed craft brew capital of the world (we only say self proclaimed because we're no longer rated as number one by some dumb publication, but that doesn't mean we're not number one in our hearts). Breckenridge Brewery has been on the forefront of this whole craft beer explosion and it seems that each and every time they have a new release, we either end up in Mexico without our pants or crying beer for a week.

If you dare to join us this evening they will be unveiling their newest release, Barleywine Batch #2. It will be a night full of live music, cheese and chocolate pairings and dancing on fermenting vessels.

Celebrate Colorado's Opening Day of Winter Sports Season with Never Summer Industries and Breck Brew

As leaves turn and begin to fall, and the inevitable arrival of snow commences, excitement and anticipation for Opening Day of the winter sports season emerges across Colorado. For the second year, Breckenridge Brewery and Never Summer Industries have teamed up for the month of November to celebrate this special time of year. The two Colorado companies have collaborated to create another limited edition, Artist Series snowboard, which will be distributed to bars throughout the United States and given away at unique Opening Day parties.

Last year was the inaugural partnership between the original mountain town brewery and the well-established, independent snowboard company. The program gained attention from craft beer and snowboard enthusiasts across the country. Because of its success, Breckenridge Brewery is expanding the footprint of the program significantly, throwing several Opening Day parties in 17 of the states they distribute beer to. It’s safe to say that this premier Colorado collaboration will be an annual tradition.

“We’re the original mountain town brewery of Colorado,” explains Todd Usry, Breckenridge Brewery Brewmaster and Director of Brewery Operations. “This program and the relationship we’ve built with Never Summer couldn’t be more fitting. It allows us to maintain our ski and snowboard culture that stems back to our roots at the original brewpub in Breckenridge, CO.”

The art for the 2014 collaboration snowboard was chosen amongst six different designs that were submitted by Colorado artists. Live showcases and online voting exhibitions were held, at which point the artwork of collaborators, Josh Viola and Aaron Lovett, was chosen as this year’s Artist Series snowboard. Inspiration for the design originated from Breckenridge Brewery’s very popular Agave Wheat, which has a Dia de los Muertos themed skull chewing on wheat for the beer label.

On November 7th, Breckenridge Brewery and Never Summer Industries will debut the snowboard at their second annual Opening Day kick-off party at Punch Bowl Social in Denver, CO. This free parking lot party will feature the premier of Never Summer’s movie, “Dang Bud,” free ski and snowboard edgings and waxings from 7Twenty Boardshop, snowboard giveaways, and much more.

Our favorite nectar of thirst quenching beer connoisseurs Breckenridge Brewery is going big this year at The Great American Beer Festival. Along with their presence at the fest they are holding down the post fest activities with a slew of events to keep you entertained.

Friday, October 3rd and Saturday, October 4th during the Great American Beer Festival, Breckenridge Brewery will host Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe at the Ogden Theater. As part of its “Hand Crafted Music Series” Breckenridge Brewery is celebrating the GABF with 2 nights of live, heavy, shake-your-tail-feather grooves from the high-energy group, Tiny Universe, led by acclaimed funk and soul master, Karl Denson.

In traditional festive spirit, Breckenridge Brewery is generously giving away a considerable number of tickets to Friday’s show. To win tickets, the brewery is encouraging people to explore Denver and experience the adventure of GABF week that the city has to offer.

Breckenridge Brewery has confirmed its annual Rare Beer Tour, which consists of 7 unique beers at 7 different locations around Denver. 2014 Denver Comic Con Beer Release Party | Brews Wayne | 1 Up Colfax | May 30

For the third year in a row, Breckenridge Brewery has teamed up with Denver Comic Con to craft a super beer for the masses. The three-day comic book and sci-fi convention is slated for June 13th-15th. "Brews Wayne," the official 2014 Denver Comic Con beer, will be unveiled on Friday, May 30th, at The 1up - Colfax.

The limited release Brews Wayne is a hoppy amber ale, a hybrid-style with two distinctly different, yet complimenting flavors. This full body amber ale has an herbal and floral punch of aroma with woody undertones. With a hearty malt base and lively hop character, Brews Wayne is the perfect beer for the playboy by day and superhero by night.
The beer’s name, “Brews Wayne,” was selected from more than 1000 names submitted and voted on by fans. Colorado-based author, artist, and video game developer, Josh Viola, accompanied by comic book artist and illustrator, Aaron Lovett, created the commemorative pint glass and tap handle art for Brews Wayne. Viola is most known for his novel, “The Bane of Yoto,” but has also worked as an art director for Leviathan Games and been a featured artist on FEARnet.

The Brews Wayne debut party at The 1up – Colfax, 717 E Colfax Ave in Denver, will begin at 8:00 p.m. on May 30th and feature live music from Total Ghost, Sundown Social, and DJ Ginger Perry. The first 200 fans to arrive will receive one of the limited edition pint glasses. Artists, Josh Viola and Aaron Lovett, will be at the party to unveil the commemorative art. Breckenridge Brewery will provide samples of Brews Wayne to attendees and have their infamous photo booth on hand to capture every moment. In addition, Geek Street Society will be in attendance remote hosting their radio show.

The three-day event, which covers the exciting world of comic books, film, and gaming, will bring 75,000 fans to the Colorado Convention Center this year.
