Global Dance Festival is returning to Red Rocks once again, with three full nights of some of the best and brightest dance music artists the world has to offer. From global superstars to budding young talent, the lineup features acts like Above & Beyond, W&W, DJ Snake, Knife Party, and many more.

This year’s event comes with an added layer, one which benefits Youth on Record, a local charitable organization whose mission is to empower at-risk Denver youth through music education. Youth on Record’s programs allow teens to learn everything from how to use music production software, to playing instruments, and even how to record, mix, and master their own music.

Fundraising efforts are being powered by Cadence & Cause, a Denver-based company that connects events, musicians, and their fans to worthy charities. Currently, fans can give nominal contributions to enter for a chance to win exclusive experiences like three-day passes to the festival and backstage experiences with W&W and Tritonal.

These sweepstakes end on Thursday, July 7th, a day before the festival begins. The majority of the proceeds will go directly to Youth on Record to help fund their efforts.

If you are looking on catching some Colorado bands this year at SXSW you won't have to look very hard. As of this article a huge contingent of Colorado bands and influencers will be taking over the streets of Austin, Texas this year. The biggest party is the Colorado Music Party taking place on Sixth Street. With five days and nights of showcases over 120 bands with close ties to our state will be holding it down. Other notable showcases include the Second Annual Boomtown Music Showcase (co-sponsored by us), The Reverb Showcase, The Holy Underground Showcase, Hip Hop and BBQ hosted by our own DJ Low Key, Cadence & Cause are promoting their new platform and will host a couple showcases as well.
