Metal legends Metallica stormed into town last weekend on the heels of their M72 Tour. With two shows, the band set attendance records for shows at Empower Field, surpassing Taylor Swift. The band’s marketing team scored high grades for including multiple events during the band’s visits, including a pop-up shop with exclusive merch, a bloodrive, a Q&A with Kirk Hammett at Meow Wolf, and more. It was a Metallica weekend.
Denver was the last stop on the North American Tour, that has been spread out over the past three years in total (European dates coming). The production on this tour has been one of the biggest we have ever seen or experienced for any touring band, making it a must-see. The second night in Denver was nothing short of a seismic event. The band tore through their setlist with relentless energy, proving once again why they remain the titans of heavy metal nearly five decades into their career. From the crushing opening riffs of “Whiplash" to the thunderous finale of “Enter Sandman," every note was delivered with precision and raw power.
The atmosphere inside the venue was electric, the crowd feeding off James Hetfield’s gritty vocals and Kirk Hammett’s scorching solos. Lars Ulrich’s drumming was a perfect blend of fury and finesse, while Robert Trujillo nailed the low-end thunder that drives the band’s sound. The band’s chemistry was palpable, elevating classics like “Ride The Lightning" and “The Unforgiven" to anthems for a new generation.

An iconic moment during “Ride The Lightning” was performed as the skies in Denver lit up under actual lightning, making for an amazing, memorable moment. One that we will never forget.
This wasn’t just a concert; it was a gathering of metal devotees, united in their love for a band that continues to push boundaries. Metallica’s night two show in Denver was a reminder that legends don’t fade—they roar louder with every performance. If you missed it, prepare yourself for the inevitable next time because Metallica is still the king of the metal realm. All generations were present this evening and throughout the two-day residency, proving once again that Metallica is still the hottest ticket in town.
