Greensky Bluegrass Serenades Red Rocks Under the Stars

Bluegrass music legends Greensky Bluegrass brought their iconic string sound to Red Rocks Amphitheater for two nights of incredible music under the Colorado sky. We attended the first night of the two day run on Friday September 15th, which featured an opening performance by Australian band The Teskey Brothers as opposed to night two which saw a set from Sierra Ferrell. The Teskey Brothers set the tone for the night, as the soulful duo belted powerful vocals and shredded the guitar from atop the Red Rocks rail.

Greensky Bluegrass took the stage following a short intermission, to roars and screams from the sold out Red Rocks crowd. The night was warm with a perfect cool wind as Greensky began their set, backlit except for a small spotlight.

As the show progressed, the light show got bigger, until projections appeared on the floor and all across the rocks of the venue. Fans sang along and danced the night away in pure bliss, singing along to every word and living in the moment. A finale of flames and cheers sealed what was sure to be one of the best Red Rocks shows of the summer.
