Austin City Limits 2022: What We Can Expect
Our annual voyage to Austin, Texas is upon us. Weekend two of Austin City Limits Music Festival kicks off this Friday on the grounds of beautiful Zilker Park. This will be our ninth year attending the festival and we are just as excited as our first. This years’ lineup boasts some of music biggest and brightest acts. From rock legends The Red Hot Chili Peppers to Bluegrass phenom Billy Strings, the lineup features a wide array of genres to satisfy everybody.
One of the unique things about ACL is that there lineups tend to differ from both weekends with some artist playing weekend one only and some weekend two only. This creates a more versatile lineup, at the same time it creates major fomo if you only attend one of the weekends.
If you have never been to ACL before let us offer a few tips. While temperatures tend to cool down in Austin it is still hot. Be prepared to battle the heat by using plenty of sunscreen and make sure to stay hydrated, the fest offers many water hydration stations throughout. Be sure to hit up ACL Eats, many local Austin eateries set up shop with some of the best food options anywhere. This year they are offering an area for BBQ enthusiasts called BBQ Pitmasters, we suggest getting there before 3 PM as they are sure to sell out pretty quickly.
ACL also offers plenty of options to obtain merchandise, especially specially curated merch that you can only find at the festival. From their air conditioned merch store to the ACL Market and bodega (find snacks, fresh fruit. New this year is Wrangler Ranch with limited edition apparel.
