The Knife | The Fillmore | April 21 | Review
Swedish group The Knife arrived in numbers with their Shaking The Habitual Tour on Monday night at The Fillmore. While most of the audience may have expected your traditional concert, it was far from. Taking the stage were more than fifteen plus performers all wearing an array of costumes, it played out more like a musical production you would find on Broadway. The Swedish duo and brother and sister of Olof Dreijer and Karin Dreijer Anderson make up the core of the traveling performance. The group who rarely performs live only added a slew of dates for this tour and recently wrapped up their Coachella performances with much praise.

Those expecting a concert (and more importantly wanting to hear their hit "Heartbeats") may want to prepare for something else. At times it was hard to distinguish who was singing and who wasn't. The theatrical element introduced the audience to a whole new level of concert experience. We were left with remnants of Cirque Du Soleil and carefully choreographed dance numbers all to a perfect soundtrack. The tour continues across a few more cities.
