Paramore, Fall Out Boy announce Summer 2014 "MonumenTOUR"

Although the announcement video was leaked on Fall Out Boy's YouTube page late last night, this morning fans awoke to the official confirmation that two of the biggest pop-punk sensations of the early 2000's are teaming up. Calling it the "MonumenTOUR", Fall Out Boy and Paramore will be hitting the road together June through August with friends New Politics opening the shows. Playing a slew of dates across the US and Canada, fans both new and old will be able to see these two bands on stage together for the first time as part of a tour rather than a festival. With both Paramore and FOB making huge waves with their highly anticipated comebacks in 2013, this partnership seems only fitting; creating a somewhat "perfect storm" for older fans of both the bands during their  "primetime" eras nearly a decade ago.

If you read closely, there are three dates that Paramore will NOT be performing: the tour's Tennessee date (7/13), the St. Augustine, FL date (7/27), and the Las Vegas date (8/15). Someone who is paying close attention to tour dates might notice that Warped Tour will be in Orlando on 7/27, a mere seven hours away from the MonumenTOUR's St. Augustine date that Paramore is not appearing on. This makes me wonder if Hayley & Co. have a trick or two up their sleeve to help celebrate the Warped's 20th anniversary this summer. It seems only fitting since Warped is where Paramore truly broke onto the scene. Only time will truly tell, but Florida, I envy you if my predictions are correct.

Pre-sale tickets will become available at 10am LOCAL TIME on Monday, 1/13, while General on-sale will begin that next Friday, 1/17 & 1/18 at 10:00am local time.

Denver is on the list of Targets, scheduling this renegade group to roll into the Mile High City on August 12th, taking over Red Rocks Ampitheater. The rest of the tour's dates can be found on Fall Out Boy's website
