Polica Premieres "Chain My Name" From Shulamith, Out October 22nd on Mom+Pop

Today, Polica unveiled the second single from Shulamith, the eagerly anticipated follow-up to 2012's breakout Give You The Ghost. Buoyant and propulsive in a way the band only hinted at before now, "Chain My Name" is a relentlessly catchy four minutes of synth-driven pop. Listen below.

Beginning tomorrow, the track will be available with preorder of the album at iTunes and on http://www.thisispolica.com. Pre-orders directly from the band will come with a limited-edition signed 24x24 lithograph commissioned by Polica themselves from Minneapolis artist Michael Gaughan. Additionally, the band will be offering up a 12x9 32-page Shulamith book comprised of lyrics, handwritten notes from the band, candid glimpses into the world of Polica shot by frequent visual collaborator Cameron Wittig.

If waiting until October 22nd proves too difficult for fans, the band will be partnering with independent record shops across the United States to offer up a limited edition 2xLP of Shulamith, with sleeves customized by the band members themselves, one week in advance of street date.

In other news, Polica was recently announced to be appearing at the iTunes Festival on 9/2, alongside a cadre of names like Justin Timberlake, Kendrick Lamar, Sigur Ros, and more. Today also marks the announcement of a pair of hometown Minneapolis dates at Mill City Nights, both presented in conjunction with KCMP. Two more dates have been added to the previously-announced tour, one in Philadelphia presented by WXPN at Union Transfer and another in Washington, DC at the 9:30 Club.
