Over the past couple years, few DJs and producers have had as large an impact on their environment as option4. As a resident DJ and promoter, he has been a major driving force in the house music scene in his current city, Denver. His debut release, To The Night, garnered support, breaking the Top 5 on Beatport last year and proving his capabilities as a producer.
On many levels, option4 is a workhorse, and his newest release, Do Work, is a testament to that mentality. It is much more than just a club track - the distinctive rhythmic style and infectious bass just help drive the song’s underlying message - real, hard work bodes results.
Do Work is released as a two track EP, also featuring a synth-drenched remix from New York-based producer Bit Funk. Gimbl Design created a completely original, fully 3D animated companion music video that fits with the Do Work theme. The video tells the story of a fledgling plant that perseveres through trials to bloom and create abundant life.
