The Underground Music Showcase | July 19-22

What do you get when you take 350 bands, over 20 venues and close to 12,000 people in attendance?  You get Denver’s own Underground Music Showcase.  This long established festival and staple amongst the ever-growing Denver music community is ready to take shape this up-coming weekend.  With crowds expected in the thousands, it gives those in attendance a chance to catch some of the most talented and diverse musicians the state has to offer.  Thrown in a few national acts and you have yourself a blueprint that mimicks the South By Southwest Festival in Austin held every year.

As the festival begins to grow so does the talent that comes out of Denver.  This years lineup boasts some of the best the city has to offer.  Bands such as Churchill (catch these guys while you can, they are headed for big things), Air Dubai, Bop Skizzum, Eldren and In The Whale. National headliners such as Shabazz Palaces, Cloud Nothings, and Atlas Sound round out the festivals lineup.

The festival itself is catered around being able to catch bands in venues within close proximities of each other, making it easier to adhere to your personalized schedule.  South Broadway is transformed into a musical mecca during these four days with all kinds of ear candy blasting out the scattered dive bars and watering holes. Along with the great musical performances everybody in the industry has a chance to partake in some awesome music panels and discussions.  Art posters by some of the finest graphic designers and artist will be on display and ready to take home during the festival as well check out the awesome designs here.
