The Naked and Famous made a recent stop in The Mile High City last Friday night to a rather sparse crowd. The Fillmore was hardly half full for the talented band from New Zealand. With a newly released album dropping only last month, the loyal crowd opened up midway through their set. The duo of Thom Powers and Alesa Xanyalith powered through crowd favorites "Punching In a Dream," and "Younngblood." Newer songs such a "Hearts Like Ours", seemed to capture the dance friendly crowd earlier in the set. While I still feel like the band is slowly breaking into the US scene (as evident by the sparse crowd), the show would have been better suited in a smaller venue to create an even more intimate show for the loyal supporters.
