On Wednesday evening, Denver was treated to an exceptional musical performance by Maria Zardoya of The Marias, who showcased her solo project, Not For Radio, at the renowned Paramount Theater.

The tour itself is a captivating, visually stunning production that leaves an indelible impression on the audience. Zardoya’s soothing vocals enhance the performance, which could easily be mistaken for a theatrical production. Lush landscapes and innovative lighting created memorable experiences for those fortunate enough to secure tickets.

The solo project has garnered significant attention in recent months and will continue its tour, visiting some of the country’s most picturesque historic theaters and venues. As a dedicated fan of The Marias, I anticipated a similar sound echoing those I had previously witnessed. However, the solo project introduced a distinct element, incorporating more personal and heartfelt lyrics that captivated the audience. Adorned in elegant lace ensembles, the crowd fully embraced the occasion. Zardoya’s performance exudes an undeniable charisma, captivating the audience from the outset. This tour seemed more intimate to those who have followed her journey. The sold-out crowd departed with a charming and mesmerizing performance that seamlessly aligned with the overall aesthetic of the production. The tour continues on the last few dates with a performance this weekend at Outside Lands, a must-see!
