Angine de Poitrine Invade Denver!!!

Vailed in secrecy, Angine de Poitrine, like their predecessors before them, performed in secrecy adorned in black and white polka-dotted ensembles. The noble brothers Klek and Khn de Poitrin, as they are known, have become synonymous with their customary and influential choice of adornments. Bands including Daft Punk, KISS, Slipknot, GHOST, Kraftwerk, and the animated Gorillaz have mastered the art of disguise and have made them popular amongst fans and conspiracy theorists. The Canadian band follows in their footsteps and made their first US appearance (club date) in Denver last week, and we were eager to see the hype.
Their US tour began an epic 2026 international live schedule, featuring sold-out headline dates, festival performances, and more across the US, Canada, Japan, Europe, and the UK. US festival appearances include King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard’s Field of Vision II in Buena Vista, CO, Seattle, WA’s The KEXP BBQ, Elizabethtown, NY’s Otis Mountain Get Down, Austin, TX’s Levitation, Chicago, IL’s Riot Fest, and Richmond, VA’s Iron Blossom Festival. Luckily, it was night one of two sold-out nights at The Ogden.
The anticipation was high as the hottest band in the world laid the foundation for a noise buffet. Carefully orchestrated riffs and precise drum beats gave way to a performance that we will always describe as a “remember when……moment.”
Sheer musical rhythm structures and a bold approach to live sets, the polka-dotted duo laid their style of musical bliss to the sold-out crowd. Flanked only by a double guitar and a simple yet complex drumset, they inhibited us with a sound that many describe as “math rock.”
Is it a gimmick or is it pure musical genius? Safe to say that once the music starts you forget that the two are adorned in their customary garb and the music brings you in for a wild numb inducing ride of joy.
