New Music Alert: Cribbo (Self Titled)
Hey there, music lovers! It’s time for another “New Music Alert”! Today, we’re excited to introduce you to Breanna Ahlgren, the former lead vocalist of The Corner Girls, who’s now diving into her own musical journey with her new project, Cribbo. We had the pleasure of listening to her album, “Cribbo,” and it’s a treat! With ten tracks, it’s like a nostalgic trip down memory lane, reminiscent of the early sounds of Feist, and it draws inspiration from artists like Lykke Li and St. Vincent. The album has a consistent vibe, with melodic tones and dream-like pop lyrics that touch on personal experiences and vulnerability. Ahlgren’s playful guitar work really shines, and she’s in complete control of each song, with catchy lyrics that we can all relate to. It’s a standout performance that makes us want to listen to the album over and over again. We think Denver might have found its own pop princess! The album releases on March 20th with some early physical copies available for purchase at here upcoming shows (see dates below).
Great news! Cribbo is playing live a few times soon. She’s got a show in Longmont on the 20th at Absolute Records, and then she’ll be in Fort Collins on the 22nd at the Sun Spot. Plus, she’s opening for The Tammy Shine in both LA and San Diego, and her debut album, “Cribbo,” is coming out on March 20th.
