The Velveteers Give Us A Taste Of Their new Album

Back in 2016 we hosted one of our annual Halloween parties and invited this 3 piece outfit hailing from Boulder, Colorado. We had been following the band for a couple months and were very excited to have them join our party. Fast forward to 2021……

I think we all know how well established the band from Los Angeles, California by the name of Guns n Roses is by now. I mean quite possibly one of the greatest heavy metal bands to ever exist. A rescheduled date had them take up shop at Dick Sporting Goods Park last week and while tour openers Mammoth WVH had to sit this one out, The Velveteers stepped in.

You would think opening for such music royalty would cause on-stage jitters for the band. It was exactly the opposite, while Demi Demitro slayed her axe in customary fashion, the dual drummers of Baby Pottersmith and Jonny Fig unleashed a rhythmic rampage that caught everybody by surprise. On the heels of their debut album Nightmare Daydream set to drop on October 8th, the band gave us a taste of what to expect from the Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys) produced album. Their reputation for amazing live shows carried over and won over the throngs of fans who were there to see GnR. If this performance was anything short of what we can expect on the new album we should all be very lucky.
