When we heard that there was going to be free food, automatically we were intrigued and accepted without any hesitation. But the name Tasty Colfax, had us slightly confused. “Tasty” is not the first, second, or tenth adjective that comes to mind when we think about Colfax. But, boy were we wrong. Colfax has undergone a metamorphosis and its awkward teenage years are far behind it. East Colfax has developed into an eclectic, pulsing, and thriving neighborhood, filled with boutique bars and amazing local restaurants. 

From free coffee to filet mignon, Tasty Colfax did not disappoint. Our only complaint was that there should’ve been a warning sign at the beginning telling us to pace ourselves. After the last tasting we waddled/rolled to the Park Tavern to enjoy some comedy and music. Next year, don’t allow yourself to be deterred from Colfax by the tales of licensed sex therapists and independent pharmacists on every corner. This event exposed us to the beautiful young adult that Colfax has become. Thank you Tasty Colfax we’ll see you foodies next year!
