New Music Tuesday | The Wild After

It's Tuesday, and in the music world that means it's the day of the week for new releases. This week we're coming to you showcasing what could be considered a new Denver music super group: The Wild After. Compiled of members from disbanded popular groups such as The Heyday, The Northern Way (AKA Set Forth), Churchill and more, this fearless foursome is producing some beautiful, soulful country-pop that I am increasingly addicted to with each play-through.

Just releasing their new EP, "Lessons Learned" a few weeks ago, this band is currently set to join Matt Hires out on the road for a quick, three week national tour starting this May. Lead singer Randy Ramirez's vocals are soothing and warm, pairing nicely with the lovestruck lyrics of each song. With clean guitars, driving drums, and some beautiful walking bass lines, it's hard not to fall head over heels for this quartet upon first listen. If you've been loving all the new age folk/country that's becoming increasingly popular as of late (The Wild Feathers, The Head & The Heart, Ivan & Alyosha, Delta Rae, etc.), this is for you.

Check out our photos here from their EP release show earlier this month at the Larimer Lounge, and take a listen from their SoundCloud page to the entire EP for FREE. If you like what you hear, be sure to catch their next Denver show at their tour kickoff on May 22nd in Denver at the Marquis Theatre.
