Denver Artist Working to Help Others | Five Roots Launch Party
You know that here at Ultra5280, there are two things we love more than anything else: music, and our beloved state of Colorado. The new philanthropic organization Five Roots is a beautiful culmination of both, and we can't wait to see what they have to offer Denver residents over the next few years. Five Roots is an organization that believes by engaging, entertaining, influencing, and contributing to the community through art and education they will be able to cultivate a supportive, uplifting environment not just between artists, but the populations they will reach as a whole.
To celebrate the launch of this new organization, Five Roots will be hosting a 90’s themed charity event on April 24, 2014 at the ‘Savoy @ Curtis Park’ (2700 Arapahoe Street Denver, CO) from 9pm - 1am to raise money that will provide families, school groups, youth programs etc. with an all expenses paid day of recreation or entertainment in Denver. The event is limited to those ages 18+, and attendees must be over 21 to consume alcoholic beverages. Entry is free with a suggested donation of $10 at the door. The event will begin at 9pm and end at 1am on April 24 at the Savoy [2700 Arapahoe Street in Denver]
DJ Sampson will be setting the tone for the evening playing the best of 90’s Hip Hop, R&B, Soul and Pop music all night. The event will also feature local artwork, a “best outfit” contest with gift cards to Chipotle, iTunes and more for the contest winners as well as a wide array of beverages and liquor for the attendees above 21 years of age.
We'll be there with our hammer pants, jellies shoes, and terribly neon tribal print on, and hope to see you all there too! What a better way to ring in spring than with a fun party for a good cause.
