Winter X-Games 2014 | Aspen, Colorado | Preview

Today will be our first step outside of covering only music, we will be expanding to cover film, culture and sports in the next coming months. While music will still be our primary coverage we wanted to expand a bit and cover some other areas of interest.

Our first mission is to head out to Aspen, Colorado for the Winter X-Games, living in Colorado I have come to enjoy the popularity of many of the events that will be going down in Aspen. The games will be staying in Aspen through 2019 making it one of the most exciting sports competitions in the world.

"For the last 13 years, Aspen/Snowmass has been a key part of the heart and footprint of the X Games," said Scott Guglielmino, ESPN's senior vice president of programming and X Games, explaining the decision to stay in Aspen. "We were thrilled to see the interest [from other cities] in hosting the X Games; however, the new opportunities in continuing and growing our long-time, valued collaboration with Aspen Skiing Company proved the most exciting and extensive."

We plan on covering a majority of the competition, most importantly the culture surrounding the X Games. The athletes have gained world recognition as ambassadors of the sports, and with the Winter Olympics mere days away it gives the audience a preview of what they will see in Sochi.

Aside from the competions, the X Games provides a unique user experience with concerts, X-Fest sponsor and exhibitor Village, late night parties and more. For those of you attending for the first time we suggest checking out the following link for important information.
