Who or what is Swedish House Mafia?

Swedish House Mafia is a super collective of music makers. Made up of three MEGA Dj/producers Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, the trio is a beat bangin’ force not to mess with!

Do you still have no idea who they are?

If you have been to any club, retail store or major event with music in the last year, you are certain to have heard one of their massive tracks. Selling out four shows in 8 minutes, with a fifth almost sold out promoters scrambled after the initial sell out show to add more shows with a final tally of five shows in San Francisco. This equates to over 40,000 tickets sold! The same amount as some major touring artists.

There was no shortage of anticipation Wednesday night for the first of five shows the Swedish House Mafia were to throw down at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. This sold out tour has taken the SHM boys all over the world and will close at Ultra Music Festival in March. One of the hottest tickets in town brought out all ages for the ‘One Last Tour’ show(s). The atmosphere was just that of a rave directly out of the movies, kids and I do mean kids in all their rave gear glory. Guys in banana suits, girl in not much more than a pair of light up panties and fur boots. Middle aged men with dates, and the ever-faithful EDM bass heads. I am not going to lie, at one point I thought to myself to what did I get myself involved.

The Bill Graham Civic Auditorium is a beautiful venue that holds 7,000 people. The night was packed to capacity with all ages, colors, and sexual orientations, all with the same goal in mind, Music!!!

The stage was enclosed in a large sheet of fabric adding to the anticipation of the super group and what was to be revealed as an amazing set complete with pyrotechnics, fire, confetti cannons, lasers and a light show of epic proportions. The show started heavy and hard with an amazing reveal from behind the curtain. The crowed erupted and the bass tickled your chest. The motto We Come/ We Rave/ We Love was surely visible in the crowd and on the giant screens. Hit after hit with “In My Mind” and later “Don’t You Worry Child” and “Save the World” had the crowd jumping, screaming, singing, and going crazy!
