Closing Out Pride Month: Where to Celebrate in Denver This Weekend

 

Pride celebrations have been taking over downtown and beyond this June, with destinations across the Denver area offering everything from drag performances and brunches to charitable sips and community-centered programming. Here are a few places to keep in mind as you are making it a pride weekend.


 

LoDo

This June, Lower Downtown Denver (LoDo) is celebrating Pride Month with drag brunches, LGBTQ+ storytelling, charitable cocktail specials, community events, and colorful ways to celebrate all month long. Whether celebrating through literature, brunch, cocktails, or community events, LoDo offers meaningful and memorable ways to show Pride all month long.

  • Ajax Downtown at Limelight Denver - Drag Brunch -  June 20 

    • Celebrate Pride Month in full color at Ajax Downtown with a fabulous Drag Brunch featuring dazzling performances, elevated brunch fare, and high-energy entertainment. Guests can choose from two showtimes, 10 a.m. or 12 p.m., and enjoy a three-course prix fixe brunch menu alongside show-stopping performances from local queens.

      • Bottomless mimosas are also available for purchase to keep the celebration flowing.

  • Larimer Square

    • Larimer Square will celebrate on Saturday, June 28 with a full day of festivities, begining with Osteria Marco’s Pride Brunch from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., featuring an outdoor Drag Bingo Brunch starring local drag favorites Shirley Delta Blow, Amerikah J Misdemeanor and LaLa Queen. Guests can enjoy bottomless cocktails, giveaways, bingo, and brunch beneath Larimer Square’s iconic Pride flags.

      • From 2–6 pm, the celebration continues with a Disco Cowboy-themed street party in partnership with Ariat and Garage Sale Vintage featuring country-pop DJs, line dancing, themed photo opps, and Pride-inspired experiences throughout the Square.

  • Little Blue Pigeon Books - “Stories That Changed Us” LGBTQ+ Literary Series 

    • Independent bookstore Little Blue Pigeon Books is celebrating Pride Month through storytelling with “Stories That Changed Us, a curated editorial series highlighting LGBTQ+ literature that has shaped culture, identity, and personal connection. Each week in June will spotlight a distinct theme: Origins, Love Stories, Modern Voices and Quiet Classics.

  • The Curtis Hotel

    • The Curtis Hotel will host festive Drag Bingo programming during Pride Month, offering guests and locals a lively, entertainment-filled way to celebrate with bingo, performances, and plenty of personality in the heart of downtown.

Dairy Block

  • Denver Milk Market - June 28

    • Denver Milk Market is turning up the Pride party with a special Drag Bingo Brunch featuring Alexis Mateo of RuPaul’s Drag Race on Sunday, June 28, with two opportunities to catch the show (11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 2-4 p.m.). Guests can enjoy brunch bites, music, dancing, themed cocktails like the $5 Rainbow Jell-O Shots and performances throughout the day.

      • Throughout June, $1 from every Absolut cocktail sold will benefit The Center on Colfax.

  • Kachina Cantina- Frozen Margarita Flights for Pride 

    • All month long, Kachina Cantina is serving up a colorful Frozen Margarita Flight featuring house, strawberry, passionfruit, and prickly pear flavors for $15. For every flight purchased, $1 will be donated to The Center on Colfax to support its mission of empowering and advancing Colorado’s LGBTQ+ community.

  • Poka Lola Social Club - “P.S. Love Is Love” Cocktail

    • At Poka Lola Social Club, guests can sip with purpose all June long through the “P.S. Love Is Love” cocktail, made with Tito’s Vodka, passionfruit, vanilla bean, and lime. For every cocktail purchased, $1 will benefit The Center on Colfax.


Denver Union Station

  • Pig Train Coffee Co.

    • Celebrate Pride with a colorful sip at Pig Train Coffee Co. inside Denver Union Station. Throughout June, guests can enjoy Marsha’s Lemonade, a sparkling Nitro Strawberry Kiwi Lemonade crafted in celebration of Pride Month.

      • Guests are encouraged to round up their purchase to support The Delores Project, helping provide support for women, transgender, and nonbinary individuals experiencing housing instability in Denver.

Golden, Colorado

  • The Golden Mill

    • Pride weekend kicks off at The Golden Mill on Friday, June 19 from 6-8pm, with drag bingo and performances by local queens, Talia Tucker and Miss Zarah Misdemeanor. Festivities will continue throughout the weekend, as well as the following weekend, June 26-28.
