From Lincoln Park to Larimer: Ranalli's walk up window opens in RiNo

Ask a Chicagoan in Denver where to get a good slice and you’ll usually get a sad sigh. But that might be about to change: Ranalli’s has been one of Chicago’s go-to pizza bars for nearly 50 years, and on Thursday, October 29 it opens a walk-up slice window at sister restaurant, Federales, in RiNo.

Ranalli’s started in Lincoln Park in the 1970s and became a neighborhood standard: the place Chicagoans go to watch a game, grab a late night pie, or pick up dinner on the way home. Now in Denver we're getting its thin, crispy tavern-style pizza by the slice from day one, each one close to a quarter of a pie, in cheese, sausage or pepperoni, plus jumbo chicken tenders (tendies), and Caesar salads. The window serves nightly from 4pm, until 11 on weekends, which makes it an easy stop between bars on Larimer, after a show, or on the walk home.

To say hello, Ranalli’s is handing out free slices on Saturday, October 31 from 4 to 6pm: one per person, no purchase needed, while they last. Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, so expect plenty of costumes fueling up with pizzas, salads, and tendies before the night gets going.
