Deadmau5

Tommy Lee and Joel Zimmerman aka Deadmau5

Deadmau5 rocking the crowd behind the cube.
As Joel Zimmerman aka Deadmau5 took the stage it was apparent everybody in the sold out venue was in for a performance stimulated by and intense musical catalog accompanied by a complementing light show unlike any other.  This was my first time seeing Deadmau5 and while the art of playing live music often distinguishes one artist from another, it is without a doubt by many that Deadmau5 is not considered a DJ, not even by his own standards, translating his music to the masses requires precise and timely skills.  It seems that an emergence of artist using similar techniques are starting to take over, artist such as Skrillex, Pretty Lights and even pioneers Daft Punk have gone away with turntables.  Handling his own Deadmau5 played a wide range of hits from his extensive catalog and left everybody in attendance gasping for more.
