The unoffiical afterparty for this weekends Westword Music Showcase. Stay Up Saturdays is becoming one of the best destinations for your Saturday dance needs. Get in for free with your festival wristband.

The Westword Music Showcase returns to the Golden Triangle on Saturday, June 25! Our 22nd annual festival will be bigger and better than ever, with national headliners including DJ and moombahton/electro producer Dillon Francis, amped-up indie-pop duo Matt and Kim, L.A. noise band HEALTH, Black Pistol Fire and Chef’Special on the Coors Light Stage; soulful indie-rock band Cold War Kids, Danish rockers New Politics, indie electro-punks Brick + Mortar, Grizfolk and Hometown for the Holidays winner 888 on the Bannock Street Stage; and 100 of the best bands and artists from metro Denver performing at a dozen venues in the Golden Triangle. To determine the lineup of local acts, Westword polled more than 200 movers and shakers in the music business, everyone from promoters to fans to musicians themselves, who nominated more than 800 local bands and performers; those nominations were whittled down to more than 200 finalists divided into 29 categories on our 2016 Westword Music Awards Ballot. Close to half of those acts will perform at the Westword Music Showcase, and fans can vote for their favorites now through June 25. The Westword Music Showcase is the largest music festival celebrating the Denver scene. It runs from noon to 10 p.m. on June 25, and tickets are now on sale. A general admission ticket gets you access to all of the participating venues, including the two outdoor stages, as well as the merchandise village; VIP tickets include all of the above, plus entry into designated VIP areas, where you’ll have two complimentary beverages and a meal ticket. 66/25: Art Land Exchange

The Low Down: Art Land is a free event to the public that serves as a farmers market for local artists and vendors living in the Denver community to come out showcase, perform and sell their artwork or services. This event looks to provide a platform for up and coming professionals, as well as well-established artists and businesses to network with one another, while interacting with members of the community that will attend this free event. Event attendees are able to purchase goods and services throughout the expo. This event inspired by others like it, such as Artopia, and First Fridays, wishes to open up the community to interacting with our locals artists and business leaders, to showcase our appreciation for Colorado’s culture of ‘Buying Local’.

6/26: Cheese, Chocolate and Beer Tasting

An event which combines all of the best, good, good things. We've got one word: Yes. If you've had a hard week, a hard day, or even just felt annoyed ever, you deserve to come unwind with a good New World cheese and a cold, craft beer. You earned it.

Event Description:

Join us in tasting through carefully paired cheese, chocolate and beer treats. We'll talk about elements of flavor which are a delight to the senses and those that are, well, not so much. There's as much fun in knowing what doesn't work at all in addition to discovering sublime pairings. The owners of New World Cheese and Chocolate Lab have teamed up on this one, so Phil and Teresa will be the duo to dish up info and nosh for this event.

When: Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM
Where: New World Cheese - 2504 East Colfax Avenue, Denver, CO 80206

Our total body workout will last one hour, enough to “earn” you a post-workout beer…or two. Workouts are designed for any fitness level and we can accommodate limitations if needed.
