Each year we make our way out to Austin, Texas for the annual South By Southwest Music Festival. Over the last few years the festival has grown bigger and bigger with record breaking crowds. Our goal each year is to catch that up and coming band whether it be at an official showcase or at a Whole Foods rooftop. This year was no different we managed to catch well over 65+ bands during our week stay and can say that it was hands down the most fun we have ever had. Standout performances by Sound City Players, Kendrick Lamar, CHVRCHES, Alt-J, and even our own In The Whale managed to put in noteworthy performances this year. We narrowed our photos down to some of the best moments we had and present to you the week in photos SXSW edition. Look for our official recap later this week.

SXSW announces first wave of music acts.

The first initial list of bands has been announced for this years South By Southwest Festival. The annual event continues to grow and we will be down in Austin for all of the fun and festivities yet again. Mr. Right: SXSW: Photo Essay

One of the bands we have always followed is the trio of Mr. Right. We had a chance to catch them during the Reverb Showcase down at SXSW and were impressed with the growth these guys are displaying in front of our eyes. They recently wrapped up a tour and we had them in the studio recently to record an "Ultra5280 Session, as well as an exclusive SXSW Acoustic Session, stay tuned for those in the coming week.
